Who You Are

• The Security Guard Supervisor at Galaxy’s Helios Facility is responsible for ensuring the safety of personnel, assets, and operations by overseeing security staff, managing access control, and responding to emergencies in a fast-paced environment. The role combines hands-on security duties with team leadership, training, and collaboration with internal departments to uphold Galaxy’s security standards.

What You’ll Do

As a Security Guard Supervisor at Galaxy’s Helios Facility, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and security of personnel, assets, and operations. In addition to performing core security duties, you will provide leadership and oversight to on-site security staff and collaborate closely with operational teams to uphold Galaxy’s security standards in a dynamic, high-performance environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Premises and Personnel Security: Patrol the property, monitor surveillance systems (CCTV), inspect buildings and access points, and control site entry to safeguard personnel, property, and sensitive data.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents and emergencies in accordance with Galaxy’s protocols; coordinate with local emergency services as necessary and lead on-scene response efforts when required.
• Incident Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate daily activity logs, generate detailed incident reports, and oversee report submissions from other security personnel to ensure consistency and quality in all documentation.
• Site Inspections & Risk Identification: Conduct regular inspections of the facility, both interior and perimeter, to identify and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities. Escalate issues and recommend solutions to senior management as appropriate.
• Team Leadership & Supervision: Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of on-site security officers, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Conduct shift briefings, assign duties, and monitor team performance.
• Training & Mentorship: Provide training and onboarding support to new security staff. Promote continuous learning by encouraging adherence to best practices in safety, emergency response, and customer service.
• Access Control & Visitor Management: Oversee proper identification and access control procedures for employees, contractors, and visitors. Ensure compliance with all access protocols and maintain visitor logs.
• Policy and Legal Compliance: Stay current with updates to Galaxy’s security policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices. Ensure that all team activities align with federal, state, and local laws.
• Collaboration & Communication: Liaise with internal teams including operations, HR, and executive leadership, particularly during investigations or high-priority events. Foster a professional, responsive, and communicative security presence across the facility.
• Role will report onsite in Afton, Texas

What We’re Looking For

• 5 to 10 years’ experience as a Security Guard Supervisor
• Must be able to obtain Texas Security Officer (TOPS) Level 3 Certification within 3 months of your hire date. Failure to obtain the TOPS Level 3 Certification will result in termination. You will also be responsible for maintaining your 6 hours of Continuing Education and firearms requalification every two years.
• Must be able to work various shifts up to 12 hours at a time, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime when required.
• Experience using security equipment such as surveillance cameras, monitors, and associated servers/programs/hard drives is considered an asset
• Must be able to pass pre-employment criminal, drug, and alcohol screening
• Ability to travel to and from the Data Center site is required
• Must be able to read, write, and speak professionally in English
• Must be legally able to work in the United States

Working Conditions

The Helios Facility, located in West Texas, is a 125,000 square foot data center and warehouse that operates under the demanding conditions characteristic of the region’s climate—ranging from extreme heat to cold, depending on the season. The facility supports continuous operations and requires staff capable of performing in a physically active and dynamic environment.Team members must be able to stand for extended periods, walk throughout the interior and perimeter of the building in a repetitive and sustained manner, and respond quickly to operational or safety needs.
