Position Overview

The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery is seeking to hire an Office Coordinator for the Treatment and Detention Facility located in Rushville, Illinois to serve as the Facility Task Coordinator and Library Coordinator. Utilizes various computer programs to design and maintain complex databases and spreadsheets. Prepares weekly task schedules. Initiates inventory of library. Oversees resident library data. Serves as liaison with other departments. Assists the rehabilitation department with data collection, filing and clerical support. 

Essential Functions

  • Utilizes various computer programs to design and maintain complex databases and spreadsheets.
  • Serves as the Facility's Task Coordinator. 
  • Serves as Library Coordinator. 
  • Assists in recordkeeping for the Rehabilitation Department. 
  • Provides clerical support to the Rehabilitation Department. 
  • Performs other duties a required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to two (2) years of secretarial/business college or completion of high school and two (2) years of related office experience, or two (2) years of independent business experience.
  • Requires the ability to keyboard accurately at 30 wpm. 

Conditions of Employment

  • Requires the ability to utilize office equipment, including personal computers and perform routine maintenance. 
  • Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check.
  • Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.

Work Hours:  Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm; 30-minute unpaid lunch
